For our lawyer clients, Trust Accounts are very heavily regulated to ensure accurate recording of client’s monies. We have worked with lawyers using Leap for over 5 years and Kalpana is a Leap Certified Bookkeeper.

About me

I am an Accountant (Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Curtin University) with a keen interest in Business Law. I have worked as a tax accountant for over 7 years, gaining extensive experience in managing the financial aspects of small businesses, including sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and companies. My experience ranges from maintaining general ledgers and payroll to preparing and lodging tax returns for various entities.

I started my journey into the professional world by owning various businesses, ranging from childcare centers to an IGA supermarket, between 2000 and 2014. This experience helps me understand the everyday pressures faced by small business owners and the importance of staying organized and maintaining monthly financial reports to ensure business success. I took a break from working (sold my business) when my two children were born and, once I was ready to work again, decided to work as an accountant. As a seasoned business owner and financial professional, I can offer valuable insights into managing small businesses effectively. I understand the importance of staying on top of financial records and recommend regular monitoring through monthly reports to maintain financial health and avoid cash flow issues. My hands-on experience allows me to provide practical advice tailored to the unique challenges faced by small business owners.

A bit about my family background – I was born in Kenya and immigrated to Australia with my family in 1992, where I completed high school and university education. My husband, Bhaveek Savadia, is a CPA qualified Finance Director and we have two children. Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending quality time with my family.
